If you already have an existing website created with another hoster then MijnHostingPartner.nl can transfer it for you easily, quickly and free of charge. We take care of all the worries of moving your website.
MijnHostingPartner.nl takes the website files and puts them live in our hosting space. You do not have to change any data such as the database user. We create this for you and configure this further in the website. As always we will do this on our hosting with the latest password standards and security. So the website data is not only safe, but also not traceable. Of course this data can be viewed by yourself using the Control Panel.
In short, we perform the following steps for you:
- We move your website in its entirety.
- Databases are also included with the relocation service.
- When the move is complete we will contact you.
- After agreement we will transfer the domain name to us.
- We can also create e-mail addresses for you if you wish.
- However, we do not transfer email data.
Why don't you transfer mail?
This is because this is personal information and too many steps to keep our transfer service free. Before the transfer is requested a backup must be made of your existing mail data. This can be done in various ways, for example by emptying it via POP to your local email client such as outlook.
And it is also possible to use our webmail to import an email address, as long as a connection can be made with an existing mailbox, the messages can be retrieved, and calendar items and other things. What do I need to provide for the migration service?
To let us do our work we need some information. First of all, to use our relocation service you need to check this box in the order for your desired package. This can be done in the add ons of the order. Furthermore, provide the following information via a ticket in the customer panel.
For the rest we need:
- A transfer code to transfer your domain name. This can be requested from the current registrant.
- The database data where we can download the database from.
- The FTP data that we can use to get the website files.
- Some control panel data for further settings. This is not required.
Once we have this data we can get started. For most websites we move it the same day. If this unexpectedly takes a little longer we will always report this in a ticket. We always make sure to transfer the data as soon as possible, so you can continue working on your website.

Will I have downtime because of the move?
We keep downtime to a minimum by not immediately switching the DNS. We only do this after we have tested and verified everything. After that it will be migrated. Downtime is thus minimized. With a .nl domain name this is a matter of a few minutes, for other extensions it may take a little longer. The website will not be down as long as the package at the old hosting party is still active. Once it has been transferred correctly and everything is working satisfactorily, the package and services can be discontinued at the old hosting. This way you will not have any downtime, and you can always be sure that you won't miss anything during the transfer.
