For example, if an image, photo, file etc.... is copied from your website and used on another site. Or a URL from your website is used (e.g. https://www. uwdomein.nl/uwplaatje.gif), and is used directly on another site.

How to prevent hotlinking?

You can set up a protection against hotlinking. This protection is called Hotlink Protection. With a piece of code in the web.config file you can prevent this.
