Installing Kentico

Install Kentico at MijnHostingPartner.nl

At MijnHostingPartner.nl it is possible to install almost every CMS. Kentico is a CMS which is popular with both small and large companies. To install Kentico at MijnHostingPartner.nl you only need a few minutes via our Web App Gallery. What you need is the following:

• An ASP.NET hosting package or a total package with a SQL database. We strongly recommend you to go for an ASP.NET hosting package when you want to use Kentico. These packages include MS SQL databases by default. And you also have a dedicated pool.
• MS SQL database
• MS SQL user for the database
• Write permissions for the installation on the entire folder wwwroot.

First step takes place in the control panel, you log in at the following url with your credentials:
https://control.mijnhostingpartner.nl

Set the write permissions for the wwwroot and create an MS SQL database and user. After that go to the web app gallery where you look up kentico and follow the instructions on the screen. If you get any error messages here:

• Check that your ASP version is on and intergrated at 4.0.
• Check if your web.config and folder structure is set to default, if not reset it.

At the end you launch Kentico and the installation can really begin.




Fill in the database data here. Note that this is case sensitive and that your SQL host must be used, this differs per version.





Select the option Use an existing database and leave Create Kentico database objects on.




Make sure you only enter the domain in this screen! And without the www prefix. We will come back to this later.





The templates you see here are paid versions, so select the create a new site. This way you can bypass it.

After the installation you can request a license key via Licenses in the main menu:
