Are your servers located in the Netherlands and is MijnHostingPartner environmentally friendly?
Yes, all our servers are located in the Netherlands at different locations, all close to the "source". We have servers in Telecity 2 and Telecity 5.
TelecityGroup is a leading provider of high-quality off-grid data centers in Europe.
All of these data centers have been built to exacting standards and provide a robust environment that meets all requirements in terms of security, power supply and extensive connectivity for your critical data and systems. The availability of multiple locations means we can flexibly accommodate your growth and expansion needs, complete with back-up and disaster recovery facilities.
Our Amsterdam data centers meet the ISO 27001:2005 standard for information security as well as the ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management and the PCI DSS standard for the secure processing of payment card transactions.
The data centers are committed to being environmentally friendly and strive to minimize their negative impact on the environment.
As a data center provider, Telecity is aware that the impact we have on the environment is related to our energy consumption. To reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, we use innovative technologies that significantly increase the efficiency of the power supply and cooling of our data centers.
Free cooling is used in a large proportion of the data centers, which offers considerable savings potential. We have also invested in technology to measure air and heat flows. Based on the measurement data, customers are advised on how to configure the equipment in the most energy-efficient way.
In addition to these initiatives, several data centers use energy from renewable sources. We are convinced that the data centers are among the most energy-efficient in the world.
The data centers meet stringent industry standards and are at the forefront of environmental initiatives in the data center market.
- TelecityGroup has been certified to ISO 14001, the standard for environmental management systems. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized accreditation for organizations that demonstrate excellence in environmental management through a rigorous certification process. The certification underlines TelecityGroup's ongoing commitment to both improving the energy efficiency of its existing data centers and developing state-of-the-art new sites.
- The Carbon Trust Standard is the world's first CO2 award that requires companies to measure, manage and reduce their CO2 emissions. The certificate achieves 50% of the early action metrics for assessing performance under the CRC Energy Efficiency Program. (formerly Carbon Reduction Commitment)
- Through our membership of The Green Grid, we play a role in raising awareness among developers and end users of data center technology. This global consortium provides industry-wide guidance on best practices, metrics and technologies that improve the overall energy efficiency of data centers and enterprise digital ecosystems.
- We also have corporate status under the European Code of Conduct for Data Centers, the EU Code of Conduct. The aim of this code of conduct is to promote the application of best practices in data centers. An audit that has already been completed confirms that all our data centers meet the guidelines of the Code of Conduct in the area of energy efficiency.
- Our ongoing commitment to energy efficiency was recently recognized with a 1st industry award and 16th overall for Community and Environmental Responsibility in Management Today's annual Britain's Most Admired Companies awards.
