Email setup - Outlook Windows app
This article explains how to set up an email address from MijnHostingPartner.nl within the free version of Outlook, or the next app to replace the previous Windows 10 mail app.
This app is an alternative to the regular paid Outlook, but is more limited in functionality, shows ads, and sends your data directly to Microsoft. So keep this in mind, and realize that this is not a good choice for business use. Or also personal use if you actually value the privacy of your email.
A completely open source email program such as Thunderbird is more appropriate.
To set up an email address from MijnHostingPartner.nl within the free version of Outlook you can follow these steps.
First, log in with your email address and password within an internet browser at the link:
webmail.myhostingpartner.nl
And make a note of these details in a notepad, for example. After this you can use them within the free Outlook app. Adding an account is done in the following way:
First click on the cogwheel, then click on add an account.
Then enter your email address of MIjnHostingPartner.nl, and click on Continue.
If you have the DNS of your domain name all set to default, then thanks to the autodiscover will immediately grab the correct data. So there is simply enter your password in the next screen and click Continue. If this does not work for you now, take a look at the bottom of the article. Here we show the data that can be used to connect manually.
Hereafter you will see the message that your data will be synchronized on Microsoft's servers. Being shared with ad partners etc. So as discussed earlier in the article, this is further your own choice. Click Continue again.
Your email address is now set within the free Outlook app, you can click Done, and restart the app. Your email address is now fully usable within the free Outlook app.

This should allow you to establish the connection. If it doesn't work now, please make a screenshot of the settings you used, and give us your IP address in a ticket. Then we can check what is blocking it.
