Cannot connect to the IMAP server
If you get the error message that you cannot connect to the IMAP server then there could be a number of reasons for this.
1) The login data is not correct
2) The IMAP server is filled out incorrectly
3) Your IP address is on a blacklist.
How can I check if my login details are correct?
You can easily find out your login details by logging on to our webmail. If you can log in here, you can confirm that your login details are otherwise correct. If you are unable to log in, you can restore your data in the following manner:
Recover mail password.
How can I check if the IMAP server is correct?
If you have a mail address with MijnHostingPartner you need to use the correct IMAP server. The correct IMAP data is as follows.
server: imap.mijnhostingpartner.nl
port: 143
How can I check whether I am on a blacklist?
This is often a little more difficult to find out than the solutions mentioned above. This is because you cannot see our blacklist. An external blacklist can be checked here:
blacklist check.
If you are on one of these external blacklists, you will have to remove your IP yourself. You can often recognize that you are on a blacklist if you get the message "421: server is busy".
If you have this and you are not on an external block you can create a ticket in our
customer panel. You need to include your IP address so we can unblock it for you. You can find out your IP address on the following page:
