Setting up Hosted Exchange within Outlook - Control Panel

This article explains how to set up an Exchange email address within Outlook, using the control panel. It is necessary to close Outlook completely. And go via your start menu to the Control panel, or Control Panel if your computer is set up in Dutch.

Here you follow the following steps:

at the top, go to Change view in the menu, and select small icons.

After this, look for Mail, this may be in a different place than in the screenshot.

In the pop up that opens go to the next option to add your email address:

After this go to the option to add a new email address, or edit your existing email address.

Then go to the next screen which will open and enter your Exchange email address and password twice.

Then you will see the following screen


And check the option to Change account settings to change the last setting. After this remove the check mark to use Cached Exchange mode, and that all mail should be saved offline.

After this with finish this, close the open screens and after this open Outlook again.


The first startup may result in the following message, this is completed after a few minutes:

After this you can fully use your Exchange mail address within Outlook. If you still encounter the problem that Outlook only uses the IMAP server settings, please report this in a ticket to the helpdesk. We will check this for you.



If you are not sure about your email address, you can always check it with us on the webmail. And if necessary, reset the password via the customer panel.

*Note, if you get or see a message about an autodiscover certificate which is not correct for your own domain name. Then it is still necessary to delete this record. And try again after 3 ~6 hours to set it locally. You can always use the webmail in the meantime. The following record can cause problems in the latest Outlook versions:

This contains your domain name instead of mydemopartner.com, and so can be removed within your DNS records. These are located at the following place:
