Migrating email from Gmail

When you want to migrate email from Gmail to the services of MijnHostingPartner.nl the following steps can be performed within the webmail and Google account.

Before this can be set up a setting needs to be adjusted via the Google account under Security and Access by less Secure apps. Accessible via the following URL when logged in within your Google Account:

https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/security

This access should be given from the Google Gmail account. Google sees this as access for less secure apps, however, this is only applicable to transfer the email. And is not unsafe.

After this you log in within SmarterMail or our webmail to start the migration process. This is accomplished by going to the following URL after creating an Email account through the control panel.

https://webmail.mijnhostingpartner.nl

After this just follow the next steps 1 to 3.

After this step the following pop up appears which can be used to import and migrate the Email:

Here you obviously select the option for Gmail to get the email from Gmail.

After this you will come to the following screen:

For best results select only the Email, after this enter both the gmail account and password to get this going. A second pop up will open asking for the Gmail password and email account again. Enter this and go through the steps. After this this window will close before the import process is started.

After these screens the mail is directly imported into MijnHostingPartner.nl. No further action is required.

After these steps have been performed the mailbox is migrated and all email from Gmail is added to the services of MijnHostingPartner.nl.
