WordPress or Joomla, which is better?

If you want to create a website in a content management system then you will probably have heard of WordPress or Joomla. Both systems are very popular to create your own websites in but which one is better?

There is no concrete answer to this question because it mainly has to do with preference.Joomla users will say that Joomla is better and WordPress users will say that WordPress is better.

Because we found the differences intteresant we decided to make a blog post about this.We will go through the pros and cons of both systems in more detail.

WordPress

WordPress is probably the most well-known system of all, as 35 percent of the web runs on WordPress. This is why it is important that you have matching Hosting where WordPress is supported.

The advantage of WordPress is that it is easy to install at almost any web host. You only need to create a database and enter its data during the installation.

This is completed within a few seconds and you can therefore start working almost immediately. If you start working with this you will see that you can easily edit and adapt everything.

A big advantage of WordPress is that there are also many plug-ins available. If you do not get the desired result with the default settings then there will surely be a plug-in for this.

Also in terms of themes you have a wide and extensive choice. So you can easily set up a beautiful website and configure it to your own wishes.

Joomla

Another system that is slightly less popular but still widely used is Joomla.Joomla is for most people also slightly more difficult to learn to use and here for also less popular.

Both systems have a possibility for many different plug-ins and themes. So you have for both systems an extensive ability to customize your website.

Joomla also has fewer updates than WordPress, this is both advantageous and disadvantageous. The advantage is that you spend less time updating your website.

A disadvantage is that many of these updates are security updates, so you should keep a close eye on both systems.
