With an email package you have everything you need in terms of email and you can also host your website externally with another party or provider. Let's explain this setup in more detail in this blog post.

Features of an email package

With an email hosting package, you have a cost-effective alternative for all your own email addresses, with more privacy and protection than a free email alternative. And more features, you can make the most of your email. You get access to webmail with default calendars, and you can set up your email address anywhere on your devices.

You can also create an unlimited number of email addresses within your email package, the only limit is the available storage space. This is 15 GB by default, which you can subdivide within your email addresses. For most users, 5 GB of email storage is more than enough for years of mail. Provided, of course, that you occasionally purge advertising and newsletters.

A private email address also exudes more professionalism than a free email address, making it easier to send to other companies and projects with a better image. A free email provider is out of place here and is therefore often relegated to the SPAM folder without reading the content. So don't miss the chance to have your own email address and get your own domain name and email address for your company or even for private use.

External hosting of your website with another provider

With an email package, you also have the option of hosting your website externally with another provider. This is often a beneficial design to work with website builders like SquareSpace, Jimdo or Wix. You can then build the website the way you want and continue to manage the domain name and email on our end. This gives you the freedom to at least manage your domain name and email freely. With the option to use your preferred website builder.

You can do this by setting a DNS reference to the website provider. For many, this is just a small change to the A record with CNAME. Almost all website builders have an article in their knowledge base on how to do this. Advantages of this setup

The advantages of hosting the website off-site and hosting your email and domain name with us are often that it is the most cost-effective way to get started. And it works quite easily once it's set up. DNS setup can sound intimidating, but it's easy to do with a few steps. Once you have this set up, you don't need to worry about it any further either. Your domain name and email will simply remain hosted with us, and you will manage your website independently with the third-party provider.

In almost all cases, the cost of the domain name is then much cheaper than with the website provider. For example, a standard domain ending in .nl costs 18 euros per year at SquareSpace. At MijnHostingPartner.nl it costs 2.50 euros excluding VAT for the first year and 7 euros excluding VAT per year thereafter. So this can make quite a difference in the cost you have per year.

With this construction you also don't have to pay high costs for the email address, but you can use all the already discussed advantages of having your own email address for a low annual price.
