Project Gutenberg WordPress
Project Gutenberg WordPress
Coming soon is WordPress version 5.x. This is a major update for WordPress where a lot is being addressed. One of the major changes is the content editor which will be taken in hand with Project Gutenberg. WordPress will no longer use the old-fashioned editor where you always had to wait how your content would look.
But now a block system will be used. Those who are not yet familiar with it can try out Project Gutenberg here:https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/Project Gutenberg is now also available in the earlier versions by downloading a plugin. However, we recommend waiting for the full update before installing it on your Hosting.
What we are most excited about is that a plugin is no longer needed for every slider or table. You can now just work with the block system to get your home page or blog the way you want it on your web hosting. With rich media and responsive design without being completely dependent on the chosen theme.
New block system
The block system is already used by a lot of website builders as it is a natural way to build a website. It is easy to use by anyone and you can immediately see what is happening on your page.
This is a step in the right direction for people who are still intimidated by traditional content editors. In WordPress version 4.9.8 there is already a pop up with the Try Gutenberg editor text. This is an option to use Project Gutenberg for version 5.x as well. However, this still works with the optional plugin.
WordPress Managed Hosting
WordPress hosting is of course available at MijnHostingPartner.nl, we now have special packages for it. Namely Managed WordPress hosting. These packages are designed in such a way that you no longer have to deal with updates to WordPress.
So you do not have to worry about plugin updates and themes. You also do not have to worry about backups of your website and database. We ensure that there is always a backup available that we can restore with one click of a button. If something goes wrong you can always fall back on a previous version of your WordPress website.
