How can I edit the Host file in Mac OS X?
In the following way you can edit the host file in Mac OS X.To do this, you use the Terminal program. This is the command line interface of Mac OS X.
The program can be found in the Finder > Programs > Terminal.
After this, enter the following: sudo nano /private/etc/hosts After this,
you will be asked for the sudo password, i.e. the administrator account.
The file will open and you can now enter the IP at the bottom of the list.
Secondly, the domain name can be entered twice. 1 time with www before 2nd time without www. Separated with 1 space.
After this select CTRL + X and enter Y. Then when you see the directory you can press ENTER.
You have now made the changes and are working on your website.
