OpenCart Installation

To install OpenCart you can perform the following steps.

We always recommend to use the latest version of OpenCart, because of the security of your webshop.

You download OpenCart from the following link https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=download/download

Please note that before the installation the write permissions have to be set to read and write.

What you need during the installation:

- FileZilla-
7zip or similar.
- A "Clean" wwwroot folder where the installation can take place.

After you have extracted the files from OpenCart you can upload the folder Upload to the folder wwwroot in your hosting space.
You do this in the following way:




Here you make sure that you go to the URL of your domain. Then you come to the installation screen:



Here you follow the intructions in the screen and press Continue.







At the next screen you see the following two error messages. This is an extra step that needs to be done.
You can change the files that are indicated, in the wwwroot and in the admin folder change the file name:





And change the files in the wwwroot and admin folder as shown in the screenshot above.

Enter the write permissions on the wwwroot.

You change this to your own data, so your database name / user /host and password. The port can remain at default.

At 2 you enter the data for the administration account. These are the data that you will use to manage the webshop.

If you are not able to proceed in this screen you can check the database data by clicking on the following link: http:

//mysqlwebadmin.nl/Na. Clicking continue will bring you to the next screen and your shop is installed. Please remember to delete the installation folder!
