Installing MyBB

If you want to perform a MyBB installation then you can follow this article. MyBB is supported on the web hosting of MijnHostingPartner.nl

What you need to install:

1. An empty MySQL database and user.
2. An FTP account and Filezilla.
3. The installation file for the site.

First step is to unpack the zip on the local PC. Then upload the contents of the folder "upload" to the wwwroot. If necessary, delete the default.htm from us.
The installation screen will now appear when you go to the domain name in the browser.

You will see the following error messages appear, this has to do with the write permissions. You can activate the write permissions on the wwwroot of the installation. After this you can let the page refresh.
Note: Remove the write permissions after the installation. This is because of the security of your website.

In this screen you need to enter your database data. If this does not work then you can test your data on the following link:

Installation starts now. You can click through the following screens:

In the next screen you enter the settings as desired. Here you also enter a general email address.

Create an admin account for yourself:

The installation is now complete and you can start using your MyBB forum.
