Installing DotNetNuke (FTP)

The following steps are required to complete a DNN installation.
Remember that a DNN installation is only possible with an MS-SQL database add on.

Step 1, Download the installation package.
The package can be downloaded from the official DotNetNuke website, do not download it from a third party site.

dnnsoftware.com/community/downloadJe here you can choose a package that you prefer. The easiest way is to download just the Install Package.
Where the following information is given:

Just the files needed for a run-time deployment to a web server.

Download the Install Package if you want to deploy a live site to a web server with the minimum required files.

The package can either be uploaded with an FTP client like FileZilla. Then you save this file in your desktop for example.
There are 2 ways to do this.

• First unpack the zip file and upload it.
• Or upload the zip file and unpack it with the help of the file manager in the control panel.

Below we unpack it first and upload it immediately with FTP.



Step 2
You then upload the files to your wwwroot of the hosting space.




The web.config of MHP can be removed, as DNN has its own variant of it.

Step 3

After this you go to the URL of your website, in our case this is
https://voorbeeld.mijntestpartner.nlHierna you continue with the installation, these are the standard things like a user agreement.
Stop at this screen and fill in your details as shown in the example:



Step 4After this stepyou
have to wait in the installation screen.



Press open website after the files are ready.

Step 5You

now have a DNN installation ready and you can start working with your website.
