Download

To install Backdrop CMS you first need to create a database with a database user. Then you need to set the read and write permissions of the wwwroot folder. After that you can download backdrop from backdropcms.org

Upload

Uploading Backdrop CMS can be done through our file manager or through an ftp client, for this article we use our file manager. After logging in to control.mijnhostingpartner.nl navigate to web. Then press File manager and go to the folder of your website. Then you upload the .zip file from backdrop in the following way:

After the file is uploaded you can copy the contents of the folder into your wwwroot folder in the following manner:

If the files are put in the wwwroot folder you can go to your website and then you can set the language of backdrop. After choosing this you will see the following screen:

Fill in the details here. Database host is defaulted to localhost, however, this should not be localhost the correct host can be found in this article. Then you come to the following screen:


Again fill in the details. Your username is to create an admin account, this is not the same as a database username. If all data is entered here you can use backdrop, if you have any questions you can always see if someone is available on the chat or send a ticket.
