Why do we have ping turned off?

When you try to ping your domain name you will see that only the IP address shows up. The other 4 packets that are sent come back with a request timed out. This is a security measure against DDOS attacks and ensures that we are better armed against them. With this you can still retrieve the IP address of your website. If this does not show up at the command prompt you can find out in your control panel under domains > your domain > edit dns zone records. You can also check the www record, this is the IP address of your website.
