How do I request a transfer code for my domain name?
To move your site, in some cases you will need a transfer code. If you want to move your domain name from MijnHostingPartner.nl to another provider, you can set this in motion by first canceling the relevant product and domain name. Without this removal code, EPP code or token, the other (new) provider cannot move the domain name. Before the transfer code for the domain name is issued, the relevant subscriptions belonging to the domain name need to be cancelled via the customer panel. When you cancel the services you have 2 choices. Per direct or per end of contract date. When canceling a domain name before a transfer, you should always select the option ' Cancelled at the end of the contract'.
Before initiating the transfer, make sure you have a backup of your files, database and email. After a domain has been transferred, your package will be set to inactive and if it needs to be reactivated, there will be extra costs involved.
Direct Termination indicates that we stop and remove the package (almost) immediately.
Termination at the end ofthe contract can be selected if you still want to use our services until the contract expires. Please note that transfer codes can expire after a certain time, so keep this in mind when requesting the domain name transfer code, that you complete this on short notice.
More about cancellation can be found here.
Services must be cancelled at least 1 month in advance. This should be done before you receive the new invoice from us. Once an invoice is generated it needs to be paid. Keep this in mind!
You can request the removal code via the customer panel in the following way:
Log in to the customer panel and go to Domains.
Then select the domain you want to move, also note that the status of the domain already has Cancellation Request , if this is not the case then read the above information from this article again.
Then go to the Request Transfer Code tab.
Press the Request Transfer Code button and you will receive a confirmation email at the email address you have specified as your contact address.
If everything went well you will see a message at the bottom right of the screen. If this is successful you will receive a green notification. If you receive a red notification, you can report this via a ticket to the administration.
After this you will receive the next mail with the removal code in it. This code can be given or passed on to the new party, the domain name can then be moved.
Attention! Requests for a transfer code via email will be rejected! Ultimately, this is for your safety, because mail correspondence is relatively insecure and it could therefore happen that someone else requests a transfer code in your name. To prevent this, we use the customer panel and the email address you gave us.
If you don't succeed in requesting a removal code in the above way, please make a ticket to the administration. Then we will issue it manually.
In some cases we do not issue the code, but it is provided by the party that issues the domain names (e.g. DNS.be). If you have a .be domain name, for example, then the code will be sent to the mail address with which the domain name was initially registered. In that case, the hosting provider is completely separate from it.
If you still have questions about this then you can ask them via a ticket to the administration.
