FTP connection without domain name

You want to transfer the domain to Mijnhostingpartner but you want to convert the DNS only when you are sure that the website runs properly on our servers. And to cause as little downtime as possible?

This is possible at myhostingpartner and for this you proceed as follows
:1. make an order on the website or through the customer panel with the choice "I want to move my domain to My Hosting Partner".
2. Complete the order to step 5 "checkout", in the comment field you can enter the following "The DNS does not need to be converted until I indicate this to you".
3. Complete the order and pay the invoice.
4. After payment is received, we will activate the package and the data for the Control Panel will be sent to the email address you have registered as a customer.


After receiving the data for the control panel:
5. Login to the control panel6
. Click in the menu on "FTP accounts"7.
The name you see now is the FTP username8
. For the ftp password can be clicked on the name, the black balls are removed and a new password can be entered that meets the criteria. After this click on 'save'.


Finally, the Hostfile on the computer must be modified and this is done as followsWindows
:
1. Finding the Hostfile on the computer:
1.1 Go to C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc and open the Hosts file with Notepad.
1.2 After opening the hostfile place the IP address which can be found in the control panel -> domains -> click on the domain name -> edit dns zone records -> the ip address which is after the first A record. And this goes as follows
- 123.123.1.123 dedomeinnaam.nl - 123.123.1
.123 www.dedomeinaam.nlSla After this the file is saved and you

can visit the domain on our server by surfing in the browser to the domain name.

Windows 8:
Go via the start menu to your notedpad/notepad and open it by right clicking on the file and opening it with administrator.
After that you can open the host file by opening the file in Notepad and browsing to this location C:、Windows System, then set the setting to "All files"; instead ofonly Notepad files and open the Hosts file.
