Backup wwwroot via Filezilla
To backup your website files, the following items are required.
- An FTP client such as Filezilla.
- An FTP accountYou
start by opening Filezilla and connect to your hosting space.
After this you navigate to the wwwroot of the website. You select all the files with CTRL + A. (Or select the files manually)
You click in the left window what your local PC is. Now right click on an empty spot and select Create new folder.
Here you enter a name of your choice, press OK.
You open the folder you just created, and select the files. Then you drag them to the other screen.
The files will be downloaded to the selected folder. This may take a while depending on your internet connection.
After this you have made a backup of the wwwroot, realize that this is not a backup of the Database. See here for a backup of the database.
So if you want to restore a backup then upload it again to the wwwroot, do this in a clean wwwroot. This to avoid conflicts between files.
If you have any further questions, you can always see if there is someone on the online chat.
