120 day backup add on explained

At MijnHostingPartner.nl we have the possibility to take the backups of your website out of your hands, with the 120 day incremental backup add on it is possible for us to restore the backup of your hosting space and fix any hard errors that arise. So this is a godsend if you want to be sure that your website can be restored by us even in the most difficult scenarios.

However, there are some limits and rules for the use and deployment of this add on, at the time of writing it is not yet possible to restore these backups yourself, and it is necessary to request this through a ticket to the helpdesk. The backup is then restored as soon as possible, this is usually realized within 2 business days. We are working on making this possible to manage ourselves, and adding this as functionality in the customer panel. As soon as this is possible this article will be updated.

Having the backup restored is only in emergencies, and can be restored a maximum of 2 times in the year at no additional cost. If the backup has already been restored twice, there will be additional costs. We will communicate this in the application. Costs are 25,- ex VAT.

What does an incremental backup mean?

An incremental backup is a type of backup where only the data that has changed or been added since the last backup (in our case the first run of a full backup) is saved. This type of backup is more efficient in terms of storage space and time compared to full backups because it saves only the changes rather than all the data again.
